i always wore my sailor suit when i was three years old on to about 6 years old..... when i went to a primary or pre school up past where my cousins tommy and mikey stonebreaker lived, and i wore that sailor's suit where the activity was to make a big white wood duck with an orange eye,it was painted white and all the edges had been sanded by me....it had been sanded very carefully by just me...the primary teacher did arts and crafts every thursday at 3 in the afternoon with me mikey stonebreaker, tommy stonebreaker, billy anderson, and carly framption whose father was killed in a mining accident...i remember the most important part of the event,1. getting stares at my sailor suit and 2. actually putting the orange eye on the white duck....i think i made it to be a lawn decoration, but i never remember my mom putting it out on the lawn...she might have been keeping it safe inside because her cute and darling little sailor boy made it for her....go figure..i never wanted to wear it but she said it would make my navy dad proud...she was one of the girls i mentioned before that was always kissing me all the time, me scrawled all up, winching....bob wit aren't you ever going to correct me on that spelling of winching...have been patienly waiting?

I did notice the winching and even that Jim repeated it in his comment, but I decided to overlook it for one and give you a break. I must be slipping. Either that or I have begun loving my neighbor as myself.

Hey Mr. Putz, I love this! Yes, I do winch when I get kissed still to this day! Sometimes even by Mrs. Jim!
I didn't think you wanted it to be wince as men know, that isn't exactly the feeling when they get kissed. Yes, they might wince a little but there is MORE! I WINCH! I just get all scrunchy and wiggle my shoulders and pull my chin in, and on and on.
WINCHING is a good word for that, even if you did make it up.

Speaking of wenches. My brother-in-law doesn't always spell real good.
I don't get after him for it because doing that would spoil how he writes. His writing isn't as good as yours because he doesn't have as much creativity. And I want him to keep on corresponding with his wit.
Anyway, here is about the wench e-mail he wrote to us.
He tunes pianos for a living. BTW, that isn't a good business to be in during a depression.
He also moves pianos. One was in a church basement and he was telling us how he planned to get it up.
He would have two helpers pushing from the bottom, he would steer the top, and then get a wench to help pull it up from the top.
I knew it was a funny but didn't know that it wasn't a slip. Rather he didn't know it was spelled with an 'i', the kind that pulls with ropes or chains and pulley.
I showed an unnamed close relative of his thinking she would share in my amusement. But she couldn't find anything funny, she thought that was a good idea he had of using he rope/pulley thing.
Of course I did tell her. I didn't want her using the word as she knew it to her friends, ever. She would be really embarassed when they knew.
I have taught that lady a lot, she was very naive when I married her. She is from a state that spends the least on public education. Even though she has two degrees from LSU she still doesn't know everything there is to know.

Forgot to mention that I wore bib overalls all the way through the eighth grade. In the early grades they often had patches on the knees. My dad wore those as well.
