i am on a roll

book of mormon...the coming forth of the book of mormon by divine power is a new witness for christ in america.....for this reason it becomes america's most important book but SURELY NOT, the most important book....the christian bible has long been the world's most important book...it has lifted men from barbarism in the realm of spiritual living...it has given a basis for peace and good will through the revelation of the mortal life and glorious resserection of the son of god...the book of mormon has withstood a century of attemps to prove it is man made...despite fierce and unending assaults it continues to challenge the attention and scrutiny of the world....if you will read it with a sincere heart, with real intent, having faith in christ, god the eternal father will manefest the truth of it unto you by the power of the holy ghost

Hey Mr. Putz, the Bible part sounds good! And since I haven't been convinced to be Mormon, nor not to be but I'm not, I will pass on the first book.

I believe every word you said there, including the faith in Christ part being required to know the truth revealed in the Bible. Except the parts that tell how to have faith in Christ, that part the Holy Spirit (Ghost) will help an unbeliever understand. And tell him (convict) that he needs Christ.

That's how I believe it. :-)

God is God! and that we all agree on and if we have faith in him, all man made rules in all the churches in the world cannot shake that. That's what I think really counts, so "yea" Mr. Putz for sharing your own faithfilled religion with us.
As per your comment on my blog: I only have one picture of my newest grandbaby because I haven't gotten to see or hold her yet. My adopted daughter (her mother) has chosen to block my relationship with her and now with her daughter too. It hurts but I can't fix what's in her heart and she can't keep me from loving her and her daughter no matter what. I will always love her and at least she did accept my gifts for the baby. :)

I really don't know much about modern Mormons. I have visited Brigham Young's home in Utah. I know that the Mormon church has changed since his time, and that The Church of Latter Day Saints does a lot of good mission work. What exactly are the differences between Mormons and Catholics? I know that Mormons do not follow the leadership of the Pope, for one. Are there different sects of Mormons, with varying belief systems?
