this special post is not from my distant past but is ongoing and current, special edition of the whole barlow fam instigated from daniel and esecially for tisme2gail from northcumberland england....almost in scotland...!. when george osmond was in the hospital and lived as our neighbor and was in provo hospital dying, daniel and i and berly went for hearing aid checks...i saw george walking towards me with that famous smile and he brightened right up...i said i love you george and he hugged me...he died 4 weeks later...2,,,donny did take anna osmond, his niece and my daughter becky to a movie he stared in {he was the voice in a cartoon show} for becky's 16th birthday in downtown ephraim....this was when he was single and a long time ago...tom is the deaf osmond who is one of my best friends and anna is his dAughter and he served with me in our stake mission program and just last week tom was in my high priest class when i related as a teacher how unified we were in our program and i mentioned tom and a convert to our faith, a teressa brooks, and then he said do you remember tom greenhauch????i said yes , and this fellow who had a problem with drugs was promised by tom that if he would go to church just once that he would introduce{his brother and sister].....and him to donnie and marie,,,I ENDED UP WITH HIM ON THE FRONT PUE...SO HE AND HIS DAD AND OLIVE LIVED AS OUR NEIGHBORS 5 HOUSES SOUTH OF US....also tom went camping with us many times to see if he could see a bar [BEAR}and we had a rope swing over a lake that he would go on and more than once got dumped into the lake...i have many more stories gail, just say the word and i will tell a story...here comes some more,,,merill and wayne both have homes, one in mt pleasant the other right here in ephraim...of course you are only interested in donnie, right???well he was over to my very next door neighbor and marie for a confirmation and stayed for dinner and of course we get all of marie's dolls that are just out of this world, and although donnie is doing good in his marriage and with his kids, marie hasn't fared as well, but she works at it...they really are great people and little tommy the nephew of donnie we see every day since his other grandpa lives right next door, carolyn is the wife of tom, sister-in-law to donnie...i love donnie in the tecnicolor coat of many colors...but i mostly love the music by lord byron who is all english

denmark, 1962

the royal copenhagen museum was incredible...we saw the flora dancia collection{a super old huge dish set with different plants of Denmark on it} vibeke was so impressed that i knew what it was and was all excited to show me...she would tell everyone that i was american and they would give me free phamphlets, that everyone else had to pay for...yakob and gut met us there and we took a walking tour....we went into a huge church that was so unreal with all the tapestries and gothic statues..yakob works for the government and had to return to work and was to take a bus and meet us later....the harbor and the Amalicborg where the Queen livwes and yes she was at home, and the statute of the "little mermaid"...eller den litle harvfrue, pi dansk....she is so smalkl, but she has this huge reputation and represents this tiny country that i think is so great..on the way to tivoli, i saw a man run over by a bus and he was screaming in dutch, some awful swear words...it was the bus outside christianborg that yakob was to be on...he wasn't there so i walked around looking for him in the gardens until 4:30...i went to the shopping street to look for a phone when i saw it...it was a 1921 copenhagen blue plate in a store window,,, the year of my mother's birth...it was a portr of a woman on a chair and it was now mine...

2008 Annual Christmas Play

.mine is like an explosion of saurkraut...all over the place...IS anyone out there in blog land aware of issac's estrangement from rebbecca??i hear that she lived 40 years alone in a tent apart from him because he smelled bad..

when we lived in midvale we had large open fields...our next door neighbor whose name is pack had giant pine trees that covered a whole half acre of ground....we walked a quarter of a mile to pick up fresh bottles of milk from the smart line dairy...this was all at 7200 south 113o east in salt lake city...i had a bishop who would take me on hundred mile rides to fairview to talk about his two counselors and how to motivate them to greater works and heights...he later moved to SANPETE, as did one of his counselors, as did i also to ephraim..

   daniel says i have to outline this year's pageant in advance...it will be held as usual on decemeber 24th 2008 at 7 p.m.....there will be a green cradle, but a live person will not be in it, since no babies will be around our house on christmas eve, also since the savior was two years old when the wisemen finally got to him, he wasn't a baby any more so we won't need a cradle anyway..........becky barlow will be mary the mother of Jesus.....joseph will be played by the putz....i also have to be the many shepards, since none of my boys will be around christmas eve except daniel....that means daniel is a innkeeeper and a wiseman....karmalee will be an angel...speeding will be a black sheep....sandy and duke will be camels...jaspher bell will be gold frankensense and myrrr.....the text will be mathew chapter two......and open one christmas present that is generally pajamas...i think that is it
   EXCEPT THAT WE WILL SING CHRISTMAS MUSIC THROUGHOUT THE play and especially silent night

i don't care what they all say

i don't care what all the doctor's say, i got the flu after getting a flu shot once...they charge money for it, and it makes you feel bad afterwards and it it is a shot too, isn't it and then after you get over the shot, you may or may not get the flu but in years that i don't get the flu shot i may or may not get the flu that year also.. why trust a doctor????i have had infectons not get better after going to the doctor and the only thing that makes my diabetis better is not the drugs the doctor's perscribe but me losing weigth down to a ' I LOOK GOOD, SIZE' ...while i am on the subject...nothing i have even gets better after going to a doctor...all my stuff hides in my body and comes back at different times no matter what a doctor happens to do or say... ........................................................................................

dallan, one of my FAVORITE people of all time ask me to relate a story i had after i read her story about beggers...she said it was often hard to give to a begger because when they were asking for food saying they were hungry, what they were really were saying was give me money so i can add to the money i get and am going to get from others so i can spend it the way i wish....well that led to my story and the one she said i had to tell on putz after i had told it on one broken off...i worked in the city and county building for slc corporation and just finished my lunch at wallgreen drug, by temple square downtown slc, when a begger came up to me and said he was hungry, could i give him a dollar or some change...the thought immediaetly came to my head, take him in to walgreens and buy him a bowl of soup...not give him a buck....so i said come into the drug store at that neat lunch counter that i remember so well in wallgreens...he hesitated...maybe he just wants a taste of boooze...he said ok, and we sat and he ate vegtable soup and we talked and talked and you know how the putz likes to talk...about his home, his family, his hard times, and he might have been hungry too, because he ate the soup

david harold barlow was born to harold barlow and josephine silver and was taught to love the savior by serving others especially the poor in heart and felt "ministering" his most important job,,he was born on april 30 1942 in salt lake city but spent most of this time in tooele and ephraim...he graduated from verdun high school in france and brigham young university in provo..he played some tennis and wrote heis own autobiography'IGNOBLE ENIGMA' he was a avd geneologist in tracing his barlow lines and doing the work hiself's in the temple..he was a vetern in the us army and married karmalee desimone on december 18, l1964...they raised three sons and two daughters...he was a college recruiter and personnel representatvie for the salt lke city corporation and sperry utah corporation...david retired from a career in the church of jesus christ of latter day saints..he was a stake mission president, teacher and spent 5 years in europe, 3 of them in france and 2 of them as a missionary in england and he loved to track out homes..he worked two years as a placement director and at snow college,,,david loved his scriptures and church history...he served in the central british mission under james e cullimore where he was able to meet many of his grandfather's family at a get together in salford england..he is survvied by his wife, karma. his five children and 7 grandchildren...interment will be in the ephraim utah cemetary where friends , neighbors, and bloggers are welcome to a party afterwards, where david the putz" plans to be in attendance, or if they would rather GO SHOPPING with karma
