We have burn bans over most of our state and NO FIREWORKS allowed. There will be a few professionally controlled displays in Houston and on down around the coast where they have been getting a shot or two of rain.
I'll hold my horses though I don't do firesorks for Halloween either.

I hear you, Putz. It's that time of year when all good children close the windows and drug the dog, and all the bad ones make asses of themselves in the street.
We thought we would spend a quiet evening at home, and then the kids on the hill directly behind us (or their parents, who must have spent a fortune), sent up LOUD but beautiful fireworks from 9:45 until 10:15 p.m. on Monday night. *Sigh*....
Our dog wasn't fazed at all. Our last dog would have gone cuckoo....
